I've marked the 65th anniversary of D-Day by marathoning through seasons 2 and 3 of Foyle's War. I was going to go on a crusade of finding quality television for the summer until I realized I already have it right here on my computer. It's a great, great show and today more than ever was the right time to indulge in its glory and feel grateful that good sometimes does trump evil.

I'm going to resume the search for summer tv, I only need a bit of distraction for a few weeks because then Mad Men shall return and all will be right with the world for 13 weeks. A marathon through the previous two seasons might be in order before August just to remind myself what a complicated, dysfunctional relationship I have with Mr. Draper. However, if you have any recommendations for quality summer tv, don't hesitate to share.

Don Draperrrrrr!!! Anyway, summer shows... I quite enjoyed the pilot for Nurse Jackie and Royal Pains. Oh, and Weeds is coming back on Monday.

Don Draperrrrrr!!!

Exactly. But the strange thing is, I've never been attracted to him. I feel like we're kindred spirits in some ways and he's completely baffling in others, but I've never once thought "I'd do him." He's just so... sad. And extremely interesting, I feel drawn to the screen when he's on it, but just my brain, not other parts of me that belong to my one and only tv boyfriend. ;) Jon Hamm on the other hand? OH YEAH.

I definitely wouldn't say no to Don Draper...that all clean look during the day but the ruffled hair when in bed...I'd love to mess up that hair! But yes, I also agree on the interesting and sad part, he's definitely a very intriguing character. Oh, and Jon Hamm, yes!! ;)

I've seen some of Foyle's War and I thought it was excellent.

If you love good TV and you love America, I'd highly recommend "John Adams" to you. It's genius. Beautifully done, brain and heart wrenching genius.

I can send you DVDs of Foyle's War. I have the first fifteen episodes or so which means I'm halfway through.

Thank you kindly for the offer, but my mom's got it on her Netflix cue, so I expect I'll get my viewing in. :)
